Пасхальное поздравление митрополита старокатолической церковной провинции Святого Михаила Архангела
Слава Отцу, и Сыну, и Святому Духу!
Еврейское слово «Пасха» פֶּסַח, означает «миновал, прошёл мимо». в память о том, что Всевышний миновал еврейские дома, уничтожая первенцев Египта.
Божье осуждение, Божья кара, Божья казнь миновала тогда первенцев Израиля.
Но вот приходит на землю обещанный всем народами Мессия, Спаситель, Христос Господь, и история меняется. Всё происходит ровно наоборот!
Первородный и Единородный Сын Божий, Богочеловек Иисус молится в Гефсимании, чтобы Его миновала Чаша Страданий, но подчиняет Себя воле Божьей. И чаша Его не минует.
Он Сам становится жертвенным Агнцем. Осуждение, кара, казнь — теперь Его участь. Неминуемая, непасхальная…
Если бы евангельская история заканчивалась Крестом, то не было бы смысла праздновать Пасху. Евангелие превратилось бы из Благой Вести в весть чёрную, ибо гибель не прошла мимо самого лучшего из Людей — Богочеловека Иисуса Христа. Нет избавления от гибели, нет надежды, нет спасения. Если мимо Него не прошла гибель, то и мы и подавно обречены!
Но то, что кажется на первый взгляд гибелью, обернулось вдруг избавлением для нас, грешных людей.
Христос Воскрес из мёртвых!
Все наши грехи уничтожил Он славным своим воскресением, как и сказано в Писании, Он «предан за грехи наши и воскрес для оправдания нашего» (Римлянам 4:25)
И в свете пасхальной радости, вдруг оказывается, что гибель не просто прошла мимо, а совершенно уничтожена.
Воскресение Христово — это не просто Пасха. Это СверхПасха, ГиперПасха!
Бог оправдывает грешников. Бог оживляет мертвых. Бог отменяет смерть и погибель для уверовавших во Христа!
Но не просто отменяются наше наказание и наша погибель.
Сила воскресения Христова, Божья благодать преображают нас в образ Божий, делая нас причастниками Божеского Естества!
Воскресший Господь провозглашает: «Я есмь воскресение и жизнь; верующий в Меня, если и умрет, оживет.
И всякий, живущий и верующий в Меня, не умрет вовек. Веришь ли сему?» (Св. Евангелие от Иоанна 11:25,26)
Веришь ли сему?
Пусть в эти пасхальные дни пройдут мимо вас все горести и печали. А самое главное, пусть пройдёт смерть и воцарится Христова жизнь!
Пусть и ваша душа с восторгом и ликованием воскликнет в эти дни:
Христос воскрес!
Воистину воскрес!
Да пребудет с нами благодать и сила Воскресшего Христа!

Easter greetings
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit!
The Hebrew word for «Pesach» פֶּסַח, means "passed over, passed by." in remembrance of the fact that the Most High passed over the Jewish homes by destroying the firstborn of Egypt.
God's judgment, God's punishment, God's execution passed over the firstborn of Israel then.
But then the Messiah, the Savior, Christ the Lord, promised to all nations, comes to earth, history changes. Everything happens exactly the opposite!
The firstborn and only begotten Son of God, the God-man Jesus prays in Gethsemane for the Cup of Suffering to pass over Him, but submits Himself to the will of God. And the cup does not pass Him.
He Himself becomes the sacrificial Lamb. Condemnation, punishment, execution - that is His fate now. Imminent, non-passover...
If the gospel story ended with the Cross, there would be no point in celebrating Easter. The Gospel would have turned from good news to black news, for destruction did not pass by the best of men, the God-man Jesus Christ. There is no deliverance from destruction, no hope, no salvation. If destruction did not pass by Him, we are certainly doomed!
But what seems at first glance to be destruction has suddenly turned into deliverance for us sinful human beings.
Christ has risen from the dead!
He wiped away all our sins by His glorious resurrection, just as the Scripture says, He "was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification" (Romans 4:25).
And in light of Easter's joy, it suddenly appears that doom has not just passed away, it has been utterly obliterated.
The resurrection of Christ is not just Easter, is not just Passover. It is a SuperPassover, a HyperPassover!
God justifies sinners. God brings the dead to life. God cancels death and destruction for those who believe in Christ!
But not just our punishment and our destruction are abolished.
The power of the resurrection of Christ, and the grace of God transform us into the image of God, making us partakers of the divine essence.
The risen Lord proclaims: "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (St. John 11:25,26)
Do you believe this?
On these Easter days may all your sorrows and griefs pass you by. Most importantly, may death pass away and Christ's life reign!
May your soul also exclaim with delight and rejoicing in these days:
Christ is risen!
He is risen indeed!
May the grace and power of the risen Christ be with us!
